Code of practice for the international genetic evaluation of dairy bulls at the Interbull Centre¹

1. INTRODUCTION

The Interbull Centre, located at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala, Sweden, maintains a system for routine computation of international genetic evaluations of Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Holstein-Friesian (Black & White, and Red & White), Jersey, Red Dairy Cattle, and Simmental (including Montbeliarde) type dairy bulls. This service aims at facilitating international bull selection in the participating countries. The general responsibilities of the Interbull Centre, as regards services rendered to the participating ICAR members, are regulated in an agreement between ICAR, Interbull and SLU. Details on the specific service are given as follows.
