INTERBEEF INTERNATIONAL EVALUATIONS
Routine evaluations
The Intebeef group has decided to have 2 routine evaluations per year. The evaluations are performed during the beginning and at the end of the year. At routine runs, results are sent out to member organization for checking before official release, the period between distribution and official release is called pre release. All the results are confidential until official release.
Test evaluations
Within Interbeef it has been decided to have two test evaluations per year if needed.
The first test evaluation will be performed during spring and should be performed:
- 1) when a new member organizations wants to join the Interbeef international evaluations
- 2) for member organizations and Interbull Centre to investigate the impact of new or modified national/international genetic evaluations on the international evaluation
- 3) for Interbull to investigate potential improvements of the international genetic evaluation procedure
A second test evaluation will be performed during the autumn. The second test evaluation will be performed only when/if a new member organization wants to join the Interbeef international evaluations.
Results of test evaluations are reviewed by technical representatives of all countries involved. Pending on the review, an official implementation of the modifications is targeted for a near future, usually within 6 months or at the following routine evaluation.

The service calendar for each year is decided by the Interbeef working group in collaboration with Interbull Centre
